Plagiarism

Plagiarism is the use of another person’s ideas or work without appropriate referencing of the idea or work. It occurs when you do not give appropriate acknowledgement or credit to the person whose ideas you are using. Whether plagiarism is intentional (deliberate lack of acknowledgement of someone else's work) or unintentional (genuine lack of understanding of referencing requirements) it is a serious matter which may result in a zero mark for course work or more serious penalties. Take some time to read the Code of Practice for Dealing with Plagiarism
